Wastewater​/Maintenance Professional DOE

General Scope:

Paradox Brewery is looking for a motivated, hands-on Maintenance Worker / Wastewater Plant Operator to join our team in the heart of the Adirondacks. This position plays a key role in keeping our brewery running smoothly — maintaining equipment, supporting daily operations, and operating our on-site wastewater treatment system. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in keeping systems efficient and compliant.

Brewery or industrial maintenance experience is a plus, but we’re happy to train the right person who’s eager to learn.

This role is $20/hour + DOE

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on brewing, packaging and facility equipment.
• Monitor, operate and maintain the on-site wastewater treatment system to meet environmental and safety standards.
• Record and report system performance data; assist with sample collection and lab testing as required.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment or system issues quickly to minimize downtime.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance and wastewater supplies.
• Support production staff with maintenance‑related needs during brewing and packaging operations.
• Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a clean, organized workspace.
• Participate in long‑term projects and upgrades to improve plant efficiency.
• Special projects as assigned by management.

• Basic mechanical, electrical or plumbing knowledge.
• Familiarity with wastewater or water treatment systems (training available).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to obtain or maintain any necessary wastewater operator certifications.
