Welder - 1st Shift
We are currently seeking an experienced welder to TIG weld aluminum, stainless, and inconel heat transfer components and sub-assemblies for Aerospace applications.
1st Shift
Hours:
7:00am - 3:30pm

Duties and Responsibilities- Weld any and all assemblies in accordance with weld specifications, weld schedules, method sheets and blueprints as required.
- Inspect all welds for any obvious flaws (IE
- Missing welds, Porosity, Incomplete Fusion, Undercut, Starts/Stops/Cracks, Excess reinforcement, Arc strike). - Training any new or existing welders on proper weld process techniques or improved welding techniques.
- Plans details of work order procedures; gathers required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job.
- Repairs and fabricates various items and equipment using cutting, burning, and welding techniques and equipment.
- Monitors the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage.
- Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded.
- Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area.
- Notifies supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
- Responsible for welding assemblies in accordance with weld specifications, weld schedules, method sheets and blueprints as required.
High School education;
Trade school preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ experience welding aluminum and stainless
- Must demonstrate ability to weld in accordance with aerospace welding spec. AWS D17.1 and pass welder certification.
Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Must be able to pass annual eye examination.
Must be conversant in and read, write, and understand English.
Due to ITAR Restrictions, an export license may be required.
Physical Requirements- Must be able to weld components that are vertical, flat, or overhead.
- Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
- Must be able to see details at close range.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times.
- Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials.

Salary Maximum: $75,000
