Duties
  • Supports the needs of Production, Technical and Supply Chain groups. Concentration on machining process and quoting.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints.
  • Makes recommendations for process improvements.
  • Understands order of operations.
  • Completes all required paperwork and makes data collection transactions as needed.
  • Creates job paperwork and instructions for rework jobs.
  • Collaborates with Production/Technical Management on Kata projects being performed for process improvements.
  • Runs Job Queue at start of shift and distributes to production team.
  • Creates purchase Order Requisition s when needed for ordering of machines and tooling.
  • Works with planning department on a daily basis to accomplish production needs.
  • Works directly with engineering cell/Production Supervisor/lead to properly assign work centers by capabilities.
  • Performs other related duties as directed.
Education
  • Associate's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Technology.
Experience
  • 3 years of Machine Shop experience in the set up and operation of Multiple Axis machines.
  • Shop math skills.
  • Blueprint reading skills.
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM systems.

Travel Requirement:
May travel to visit customers, vendors, suppliers, other manufacturing locations, affiliates, attend technical meetings, trade shows or conferences.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Technology.
  • 7 years of machine shop experience.
  • Problem Solving skills.

Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work.
