The Chemical Operator performs tasks such as blending, extracting, drying, distillations, and size reductions. The role requires certification in all processes involved in the site’s product line. The position operates on a rotational schedule to support 24-hour manufacturing. Located at our Rochester, NY plant.

Essential Job Functions:

• Operate assigned process areas safely and efficiently, complying with regulatory, health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Maintain knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and ISO requirements.
• Handle hazardous chemicals and waste responsibly.
• Seek continuous improvement through process knowledge, certifications, and training.
• Report safety, quality, or process hazards promptly.
• Respond to emergencies involving hazardous waste appropriately.

Qualifications &

Experience:

• HS Diploma or GED required;
  Associate’s degree preferred.
• 3-5 years in manufacturing; entry-level considered.
• Experience in chemical manufacturing preferred.
• Computer skills and familiarity with hand tools required.
• Willing to work overtime and rotating shifts; shift differential applies.

This position pays $24.00 to $26.00 per hour, depending on experience. It is a nonexempt, hourly position.
