Job Role
  • Conduct all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental and contamination control policies, procedures and regulations. Wear proper personal protective equipment.
  • Attend and successfully complete required technician training classes.
  • Maintain high awareness of applicable technical changes in the industry.
  • Maintain necessary set of tools required for job performance to conduct inspections ensuring machines are returned to manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Perform thorough incoming and outgoing inspections of machines via web‑based portal with focus on understanding of product problems by reviewing PIP & PSP, SOS and Vision Link History prior to machine inspection, downloading Product Status Report from ECM using ET, downloading Autolube System (if installed), and pulling SOS Samples.
  • Complete required documentation including inspection reports, SOMA reports, component rebuild intervals, and preventative maintenance versus manufacturer’s scheduled intervals utilizing appropriate software.
  • Work in a neat and orderly fashion, constantly looking for ways of improving methods, work area and safety standards. Assist with maintaining proper facility appearance and shop conditions by following contamination control guidelines, including housekeeping, and performing other general maintenance duties.
  • Monitor job expenses versus repair estimates and ensure that the supervisor is aware of any cost overruns prior to the job being completed.
  • Approach work in a positive manner, maintain conduct supportive of the work team and set the standard for others to follow. Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations. Train and/or mentor others in the department. Assume supervisor’s position temporarily, as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Formal

Education:

High School diploma or GED.

Experience: 5–6 years.

Required Credentials
  • Easy comprehension of written material and effective oral and written communication with employees and customers.
  • Completed required training curriculum to be designated a Technical Analysis Inspector.
  • Moderate level capability with a computer, Microsoft Office products and relevant dealer software programs.
Not Required But Highly Desired Criteria
  • Proficient in the use of a computer, Microsoft Office products and relevant dealer software programs.
  • Successfully completed relevant specialized equipment technical courses.
Updating of Knowledge

Job requirements change, requiring retraining to stay current every 1–2 years.
