• Supervise and participate in all phases of production, i.e., pre/post-operation, make-up, packaging and preparation for the cleaning process, as necessary; move from area to area to ensure that all work in progress and the various processes are carried out efficiently.
• Ensure that HACCP, GMPs and other food safety practices are being followed, daily
• Maintain appropriate plant sanitation, safe working conditions and proper food handling practices and procedures in the plant; ensure that all plant equipment is properly washed, sanitized and ready for each day s production.
• Check and verify machine controls for accuracy and performance, daily.
• Interact with mechanics to ensure that all equipment are in proper working condition at all times and schedule necessary repairs.
• Set up working systems which minimize the loss of packaging materials during the production process.
• Supervise production staff; assist in training and motivating employees, as required.
• Communicate with peers and/or senior management regarding major production decisions.
• Perform any other related duties.

• Associate s Degree or Certificate in Food Service Management, Food Science or equivalent
• 3-5 years  experience in USDA facility
• Knowledge of SQF, GMPs, HACCP, SOP, SSOP, Pest Control Programs, USDA & FDA regulations
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and data entry software
• Good communication and customer service skills.
