This position is open only to FDNY employees serving in the permanent civil service title of Motor Vehicle Operator.

The Fire Department, City of New York (FDNY), seeks a full-time Motor Vehicle Supervisor L1 in the Bureau of Fleet Services. Reporting directly to the Motor Vehicle Supervisor L2, the successful candidate will:
- Supervise Motor Vehicle Operators in the automotive servicing operations of a department repair facility
- Review conditions of motor vehicles and equipment in need of repair
- Maintain all records and work orders, track work progress in all stages
- Keep track of motor vehicles and equipment being utilized in different sections of the department
- Communicate operational orders from management to subordinates into effective work practices
- Adhere to all FDNY rules, regulations and procedures

QualificationsLicense Requirement
A Motor Vehicle Driver License valid in the State of New York.
To be eligible for placement in Assignment Level II, individuals must have, after meeting the minimum requirements described above for Assignment Level I, at least:
- one year in the title of Motor Vehicle Supervisor;
- one additional year of the full-time experience described in “2” above in a large automotive service garage.
