Job Title:

Manager, Store Design Primary

Purpose:

The Manager, Store Design will oversee the Coach brands work in the North America region. They will have full oversight of new store projects, renovations, enhancements and concept work for the region. The role will be based in our corporate office in New York, 3 days a week in the office and 2 days a week remote.

Responsibilities
  • Manage North America projects through the conceptual, design and technical process necessary to open stores on budget and on time.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams in region to review stores for merchandising, operational, budget, loss prevention and other needs.
  • Create accurate project schedules with construction team based on design drafting timelines, permits construction timelines from construction partners.
  • Oversee team workload, balancing project priorities based on teams strengths and ability.
  • Deep dive into budget and technical issues to solve any issues that arise during the projects lifetime.
  • Update projects as needed to meet business needs and budget constraints.
  • Review construction and millwork drawings for accurate information, materials and sizing.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors – Architecture, Interior Design is preferred.
  • 4+ years’ experience in a retail design position with a focus on international retail work
  • Expert knowledge in North America process including permitting, health and safety and landlord review.
  • Strong experience working with and assessing AOR, due diligence and foundational knowledge to lead NA projects.
  • Strong experience managing team and balancing their and your own teamwork to meet regional deadlines.
  • Experience in retail design and reviewing construction/millwork drawings.
  • Excellent proficiency in ACAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch Up and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be self-motivated, highly productive, and have excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as cross functionally with other business groups.
  • Must be a highly organized, self-starter with ability to handle multiple priorities at once.
  • Must be able to read and understand architectural and millwork drawings.
