The Special Projects Intern will support the U.S. Corporate Affairs & Engagement function, partnering closely and reporting to the Manager of Special Projects while supporting the Chief Corporate Affairs & Engagement Officer, and the Office of the CEO. This role provides hands‑on exposure to strategic communications projects and programs, event planning and production, executive operations, budget management, hospitality, and cross‑functional coordination within a global 12‑Month Special Projects Intern.
Key Responsibilities- Support the major strategic communications initiatives of the US Corporate Affairs & Engagement function
- Assist the Manager of Special Projects in staffing and supporting global executives at key internal and external events, with a focus on hospitality and executive experience
- Assist with team organization initiatives, including team animation meetings, activities, offsite coordination, and team‑building moments
- Support key U.S. Corporate Affairs & Engagement community engagement initiatives, including town halls, local manager stages, and other function‑wide moments in support by the Manager of Special Projects
- Manage and organize the U.S. Corporate Affairs & Engagement gifting closet, ensuring inventory accuracy and operational efficiency
- Manage product orders and gifting logistics for major stages, events, and key moments across the U.S. Corporate Affairs & Engagement function in partnership with the Manager of Special Projects.
- Partner with the Manager of Special Projects on budget tracking and management across the U.S. Corporate Affairs & Engagement function
- Support Corporate Affairs & Engagement with purchase order creation, vendor onboarding, invoice processing, and timely vendor payments
- Partner with the Manager of Special Projects to manage the Chief Corporate Affairs & Engagement Officer’s calendar, including meeting coordination, scheduling, and time prioritization as well as conference room bookings, visitor registration, and onsite logistics
- Ensure team compliance with expense, meeting, and organizational policies across the U.S. Corporate Affairs & Engagement team
- Maintain and manage a centralized repository of resources and tools for the Corporate Affairs & Engagement network
- In partnership with the Manager of Special Projects, support the Office of the CEO on strategic and cross‑functional Special Projects as needed.
What We Are Looking For
- Candidates must have received a bachelor’s degree in an HR‑related area of study within the last 12 months OR must have graduated with a master’s degree within the last 12 months with no more than a 6‑month gap in education history.
- Possess a 3.0 GPA or higher.
- Demonstrate a desire for professional growth and an openness to exploring diverse career paths and locations within L'Oréal's USA including New York, New Jersey, Florida, and California.
- Have excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for attention to detail and a proven ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
