Construction Maintenance Supervisor

Installation, repair, and maintenance of water mains, water services, valves, and fire hydrants. Directing and supervising all work performed by Authority crews and contractors relating to new construction and maintenance of the Authority’s water distribution system.

• Directing and supervising all work performed by Authority crews and contractors relating to new construction and maintenance of the Authority’s water distribution system.

• Supervisory skills and/or past management experience preferred.
• Experience with construction/maintenance of underground infrastructure required.
• Ability to read a distribution system map and blueprint drawings.
• Ability to work with Windows-based operating systems.
• The successful applicant will be required to obtain Grade D NYS Health Department Certification.
• The applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a CDL B license.

The hours and days for this position will flexible based on operational and seasonal needs. Applicant’s typical work schedule will be Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m.

- 4:30 p.m. with the requirement to periodically rotate to a work week of Tuesday – Saturday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., other times as needed. This person will also be required to function in a rotating “on call” capacity.

Salary for this position will be commensurate with education and experience within a range of $80-$95k
. Suffolk County residency is highly preferred
