Overview of RoleReports to: Project Executive and/or Senior Project Director-
This role will prioritize candidates in our New York market ONLY.
The primary role of the Project Director (PD) is to provide support in maintaining various aspects of the development services provided by HARDY with a particular focus on producing project deliverables.
Requirements- minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, hospitality development, or a related field.
- Possess an understanding of all aspects within the project development scope including PM responsibilities, budget and schedule development, and design (concept to construction docs).
- Basic construction principles and accounting administration.
- Understand the project flow, sequence and procedures including the relationships and roles of individual project team members (i.e. Design - Procurement - Construction).
- Proficiency in computer tools and Systems (i.e. Microsoft Suite).
- Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Project.
- General understanding of the professional practice of architects, interior designers, engineers and contractors.
- Ability to read construction drawings, plans and specifications. General experience in understanding/interpreting construction/consultant contracts is preferred.
- Understand and maintain the HARDY process to provide consistent and timely deliverables and high‑quality results for the client.
- Ensure/enforce accountability of the people we manage (consultants/contractors/etc.).
- Develop full knowledge of the project details to assist the SPD on all aspects of the project including:
- Understanding of project goals and expectations.
- Facilitate the documentation of the project scope and track scope adherence throughout design, bid, and negotiation processes.
- Facilitate the accounting for projects by tracking and maintaining budgets, budget trend logs, invoice collections, lien waiver management, and draw processes throughout the duration of the project.
- Monitor and maintain the project’s master milestone schedule.
- Produce ongoing project deliverables including but not limited to RFPs, contracts, monthly status reports, bid comparisons, meeting agendas/minutes, and project task lists.
- Review and analyze documentation provided by others including budget information, design documents, contractor bids, FF&E specifications.
- Prioritizing deliverables to address time sensitive critical needs.
- Identify issues that require attention and fielding them to the appropriate parties.
