Mission

At Neko Health, our mission is to deliver proactive healthcare for all—empowering members to take control of their health through cutting‑edge technology and compassionate care.

Role Purpose

We are seeking a Head of Construction (U.S.) to lead all construction strategy and execution for our U.S. clinic network. This leader will own pre‑construction, contractor management, cost control, delivery timelines, and quality assurance—building a repeatable, scalable model for multi‑site clinical expansion across the U.S. You will work closely with Real Estate, Design, Operations, Clinical, Facilities and Finance teams to ensure every site is delivered on time, on budget, and to the technical and aesthetic standards required for our Neko experience.

This is a high‑impact, build‑it‑from‑scratch role for a leader who thrives in fast‑growth, multi‑site environments.

What You’ll Deliver in the First 6–12 Months
  • Build the U.S. Construction Operating Model:
Establish standards, playbooks, specifications, and reporting cadences for all clinic builds. Tracking progress for long‑term cost savings and schedule optimization goals.
  • Stand Up Vendor & Contractor Network:
Identify, vet, and onboard a reliable U.S. ecosystem of GCs, architects, engineers, and specialist trades across priority markets.
  • Deliver the ongoing Clinic Pipeline:
Execute all U.S. construction projects on time and on budget, stabilising timelines and reducing delays through strong oversight and risk management. Reporting early and course‑correcting where necessary.
  • Implement Cost, Budget & Forecasting Model:
Create baseline cost benchmarks, value‑engineering levers, and forecasting for the broader expansion pipeline.
  • Improve Speed & Quality Through Standardisation:
Introduce scalable “clinic kit” designs, repeatable processes, and quality controls to reduce build duration and cost.
  • Strengthen Cross‑Functional Alignment:
Build a predictable Real Estate → Construction → Commissioning → Go Live sequence with Expansion, Ops, Clinical, Engineering, and Facilities.
  • Establish Clear Metrics & Reporting:
Launch dashboards covering timeline adherence, cost performance, contractor delivery, change orders, and risks.
  • Assess and Begin Building a Lean U.S. Construction Team (if needed):
Define roles, responsibilities, and structure to support ongoing scale.
  • Bulk Procurement:
Collaborate with our procurement department to identify key direct purchase opportunities to drive cost savings and leverage volume.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Extensive experience leading construction for multi‑site environments (healthcare, retail, hospitality, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience delivering projects across multiple U.S. states with varied building codes.
  • Strong vendor network and ability to build GC/Architect/Engineering partnerships quickly.
  • Deep understanding of budgeting, estimating, scheduling, and risk management.
  • Ability to create structure, process, and repeatability in a scaling environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder skills; calm under pressure; solutions‑driven.
  • Passion for Neko’s mission and willingness to work at start‑up pace.
  • Proficiency in Procore, Smartsheets, Microsoft Office suite, Power BI, and relevant AI tools.
  • Leader by example, able to coordinate teams both in office and remotely for effective results.
Preferred
  • High EQ, knowing how to work with many stakeholders to produce a quality result. There are many contributing teams to the success of a location and working well with a team of varying priorities to create an aligned mission to deliver great locations will be essential for success.
  • High degree of self‑motivation to constantly improve, identify issues, propose solutions, and rally team members to deliver those solutions.
  • In‑depth knowledge of construction cost variation across markets in the US to help develop accurate budget estimates as we move to launch new markets.
