Vice President, Security Engineering and Infrastructure

Our client, a leading real estate and property technology organization, is seeking an experienced Technology Operations Leader to oversee field services, security systems, and smart building initiatives across a multi-property portfolio. This role serves as the primary liaison between technology teams, property management, partners, and tenants to ensure all systems are installed, maintained, and operated to best-in-class standards. The successful candidate will lead operational execution, financial oversight, technology innovation, and team development while driving service excellence and continuous improvement.

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the technology and field services team.
• Ensure proper installation, maintenance, and servicing of security and smart building systems.
• Implement and enforce standard operating procedures, quality control measures, and best practices.
• Lead project kickoffs, oversee documentation, and monitor project execution to specification and budget.
• Conduct bi-annual property visits to evaluate service performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Evaluate, test, and implement new technologies and smart building initiatives.
• Oversee IoT network infrastructure, device configuration, compliance, and lifecycle management.
• Lead custom integrations and proof-of-concept initiatives.
• Conduct product research, testing, and vendor evaluations.
• Manage profit and loss performance, including forecasting and annual budgeting.
• Review project scopes for manpower, equipment needs, and cost accuracy.
• Lead bid development and vendor leveling processes.
• Recruit, mentor, and conduct performance reviews for team members.
• Develop and implement training and certification programs.
• Lead weekly team meetings and regular one-on-one sessions.
• Ensure consistent adherence to technical standards and installation protocols.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for property teams and clients.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal departments and external partners.
• Ensure service contracts are fulfilled professionally and on schedule.
• Proactively communicate project status, service trends, and system updates.

• 8+ years of progressive experience in security technology, smart building systems, or technology operations within commercial real estate, property management, or a related environment.
• Proven leadership experience managing field service teams, technicians, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience overseeing installation, maintenance, and lifecycle management of access control, video surveillance, IoT networks, and integrated security systems.
• Strong background in project management, including scope review, budgeting, forecasting, and vendor management.
• Experience managing P&L responsibilities and participating in annual budgeting and financial reforecasting.
• Hands-on experience with system integrations, proof-of-concept testing, and deployment of emerging technologies.
• Familiarity with IT security compliance standards and networked device management within enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated ability to develop SOPs, training programs, and technical standards across multi-site operations.
