Job Overview
We are seeking a hands-on, strategic Sterile Processing Manager to oversee operations across multiple hospital locations in the New York City area. This role is ideal for someone with sterile processing or OR experience who can balance day-to-day operations with big-picture planning around performance, growth, and service excellence.
What You'll DoAs the primary point of contact for hospital leadership, you will:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hospital executives and clinical staff (OR Directors, Surgeons, CSPD teams, etc.).
- Supervise Account Supervisors and Lead Technicians across multiple sites.
- Hire, onboard, coach, and support frontline staff to ensure service quality and adherence to procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual, safety, credentialing, and QA requirements.
- Travel between accounts to assess performance, meet with hospital leadership, and provide operational support.
- Oversee training, scheduling, and coverage for staffing gaps.
- Monitor KPIs, analyze data, and manage P&L statements for each account.
- Support implementation of our Surgical Cost Management Platform (SCMP) and drive digital adoption.
- Partner with HR on people operations and ensure exceptional customer service delivery across accounts.
While this role operates Monday-Friday, you must be capable of managing the 24/7 nature of hospital operations as needed.
What We're Looking For- Experience: 3-5 years in the Operating Room or Sterile Processing environment.
- Leadership: Previous supervisory or management experience (preferred).
- Certification: CRCST required; CER certification a plus.
- Education: Bachelor s degree in business or healthcare-related field (preferred).
- Skills: Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills (written & verbal).
- Comfortable engaging with hospital executives and C-suite staff.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel; ERP or SCMP experience a plus.
- Ability to travel up to 75% between facilities.
- Covid-19 vaccination required.
- Salary: $75,000 - $90,000, based on experience and qualifications.
- Bonus: Annual bonus eligibility.
