This role is responsible for representing and positioning the full Perfection Learning portfolio to meet the instructional and operational needs of New York districts and schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market Ownership – Own all sales outcomes for New York City DOE, NYC‑area charter and private school networks, and non‑NYC counties across New York State.
  • Serve as the primary senior sales presence for key NYC and statewide decision‑makers and influencers.
  • Navigate NYC’s unique adoption, pilot, and purchasing cycles while effectively managing sales motions across the rest of the state.
  • Team Leadership – Lead, coach, and support company sales representatives covering NYC and New York State.
  • Align and manage independent sales partners to ensure consistent execution, messaging, and accountability.
  • Provide clear direction, performance feedback, and ongoing development.
Revenue & Strategy
  • Drive renewals, expansions, and new business across assigned product lines.
  • Develop and execute annual territory plans tailored to NYC and non‑NYC New York markets.
  • Forecast accurately and communicate risks and opportunities early.
Cross‑Functional Coordination

  • Ensure smooth handoffs from sale to implementation to renewal.
Operational Excellence
  • Maintain accurate CRM data and pipeline visibility.
  • Establish disciplined rhythms for reporting, communication, and follow‑up.
  • Identify and resolve issues proactively before they escalate.

  • This is not a multi‑region or Northeast leadership role.
  • This role does not require extensive national travel.
  • This is not an entry‑level management position.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in K‑12 education sales or senior leadership roles within NYC DOE or NYC charter organizations, with demonstrated knowledge of district decision‑making, procurement, and adoption pathways.
  • Prior experience leading, influencing, or coordinating teams through formal sales management or district/organizational leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success driving adoption, implementation, or growth of instructional materials, curriculum, or edtech solutions.
  • Strong understanding of NYC DOE structure, charter networks, and key statewide stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage complexity, ambiguity, and high expectations in a high‑stakes education environment.
  • Exceptional relationship‑building, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
