Position: Workplace Experience Manager
Location: New York

Overview

The Workplace Experience Manager will join SPS in creating an exceptional workplace experience and provide world-class service, linking to the future workplace. This role is responsible for developing and managing the workplace experience strategy for the client’s site, acting as a bridge to the outside community, planning a variety of events and more.

The person in this role is a warm, innovative, agile, tech‑savvy planner and project manager who creates, organizes, plans and monitors the client’s work environment by delivering world-class service and community events to their teams.

The Workplace Experience Manager supports a workplace experience strategy at the site for a customer with a presence across the US. They will execute plans aligned to the overall strategy, including visitor and arrival experiences, firm events and celebrations, and administrative support across work streams. They lead and deliver an exceptional curated experience for clients, colleagues and guests and oversee front‑of‑house service programming and training, working closely with site managers to ensure flawless execution of service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with customers to tailor experience initiatives to purpose, strategy and mission critical activities
  • Bring the latest trends in workplace design, experiences and engagement to the customer’s site
  • Architect memorable experiences delivered through service employees and subject matter experts
  • Deliver workplace programming across a network of offices, ensuring a unified service standard
  • Share knowledge from the SPS network of workplace experiences across industries
  • Collaborate with food services/catering leads and other client partners for event planning and production to ensure a seamless, one‑team approach
  • Lead site tours for guests of the customer and SPS
  • Embed into the site environment, working alongside service teams for employees
  • Recognize that people have different needs based on role, demographics and culture
  • Observe the workplace environment to identify experiential needs across SPS touchpoints
  • Accelerate improvement in energy and engagement as a process catalyst
  • Measure success of events and experiences through quantitative and qualitative methods
  • Present monthly workplace experience reports including curated events, ROI and benefits
  • Manage Workplace Experience Coordinator positions at the site (recruiting, orienting, supervising, training, evaluating and recognizing) through a matrix reporting line
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, marketing or similar
  • 5+ years in a similar role (e.g., facilities management, event management, concierge, hospitality, front desk)
  • Previous management experience overseeing 5–10 employees
  • Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing and influencing people
  • Experience in planning, budgeting and marketing
  • Strong computer proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Effective communication with all levels inside and outside the organization
  • Engages in building positive, productive relationships
