Compensation: $120,000 - $160,000 depending on experience

The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and hands-on Accounts Payable Manager to oversee their AP operations and lead a growing team. This individual will balance people management with involvement in day-to-day transactional activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and scalability as the company continues to expand—both organically and through acquisitions.
Responsibilities- Oversee the full Accounts Payable function, including invoice intake, coding, approvals, and payment processing.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of four AP staff members (two offshore, one domestic AP specialist, one AP coordinator).
- Participate directly in daily AP activities as needed, supporting peak cycles and resolving complex issues.
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in invoice processing, vendor payments, and 1099 reporting.
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls and AP policies, with a focus on efficiency and consistency across entities.
- Serve as the AP lead during acquisitions, helping integrate new entities into existing processes, systems, and controls.
- Partner with Procurement, Accounting, and cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and optimize workflows.
- Manage vendor relationships and handle escalations involving billing, disputes, and payment terms.
- Oversee monthly AP close activities, including reconciliations, accruals, and reporting.
- Leverage Net Suite to improve processes, utilize automation tools, and ensure data integrity.
- 10+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisor role.
- Hands-on leadership style, with the ability to manage a team while also supporting transactional AP work.
- Experience managing and developing offshore and domestic AP teams.
- Proven success working in companies undergoing mergers, acquisitions, and multi-entity integrations.
- Strong proficiency with Net Suite, including AP workflows, vendor management, and reporting tools.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and drive process improvements.
