Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of all customer accounts, maintain and grow them to their full potential.
  • Assist with customer inquiries, manage employees, order equipment and supplies, maintain long-term customer relationships.
  • Ensure proper staffing to meet client needs.
  • Ensure all supplies, materials, and work performed meet the quality and budgetary standards set by the company.
  • Maintain the operating condition and security of all tools and equipment owned, leased, or rented by the company and under his/her control.
  • Maintain accurate and complete inventory of company materials, supplies, equipment and tools under his/her control and necessary for efficient job related operations.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure company quality standards are maintained.
  • Evaluate the performance of employees reporting to him/her based on standards of performance and discuss evaluations with the employee.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for employees on job procedures and safety.
  • Conduct regular meetings with field Supervisors and Leads to review ongoing work, procedures, problems, etc.
  • Attend all training and/or meetings given by Flagship Airport leadership team.
  • Meet with customers, in person or by telephone, regularly to ensure customer needs are met and to solicit additional work outside the contract.
  • Oversee all janitorial operations.
  • Manage supervisors who oversee staff.
  • Be responsible for the cleanliness of all customer accounts.
  • Manage job starts.
  • Manage safety program.
  • Manage operations budget.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in maintenance work.
  • Excellent internal and external customer service skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to lead others and motivate people.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team; an intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, Kronos timekeeper, tablet and cellphone applications.
  • Able to work independently or with little or no supervision.
Education and Work Experience
  • Bachelor's degree Operations Management, Business Management or Statistics or equivalent.
  • Five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in the janitorial/facilities field.
Work Environment
  • Fast paced office environment
  • High sense of urgency
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments and shop environments.
  • Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise.
Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear.

Physical requirements include stooping, standing, climbing and frequent lifting of a minimum of 40 lbs. of office and facilities equipment. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
