WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a Director, Commercial – Global who will play a pivotal role in accelerating and operationalizing the global commercial agenda. Operating as a senior partner to the VP, Commercial – Global, this role translates strategic priorities into actionable global commercial plans, ensuring visibility, consistency, and excellence in execution across markets and channels. The role requires frequent interaction with SLT (DECIEM’s Senior Leadership Team), regional commercial leads, senior brand stakeholders, cross-functional executives, finance partners and supply chain teams—often acting as the connective tissue that unifies global commercial direction.
This is an individual contributor role.
PAY RANGE
The anticipated base salary for this position is $137,000 to $170,000.
Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location.
WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE
- Design commercial frameworks, deep-dive analyses, and formulating cross-regional processes that drive growth and enhance decision-making
- Analyze market data and research to develop informed business plans, focusing on commercial opportunities such as expansion and business development that align with Deciem’s global brand strategy, enabling DECIEM to achieve financial targets
- Create a comprehensive commercial excellence framework supporting VP Global Commercial’s strategy across APAC, EMEA, UK, and Americas regions
- Elevating the New Product Development (NPD) and launch pipeline through global insight integration and the creation of a sustainable launch framework centered around best practice
- Driving global alignment and coherence in commercial activities across regions including governance structure and enhanced ways of working with affiliate markets
- Implement a formalized go to market playbook that encompasses pricing, promotional strategy, emerging markets, NPD and Icon campaigns, commercial innovation etc.
- Drive enterprise-wide commercial transformation initiatives that fundamentally improve DECIEM's go-to-market capabilities
- Foster global commercial alignment by building cross-regional relationships, sharing best practices, and guiding markets in the localized implementation of global strategies while ensuring adherence to overall standards
- Enhance end-to-end commercial processes and systems —forecasting, NPD readiness, launch planning, post-launch analysis—ensuring greater global coherence and executional excellence
- Compile comprehensive global analyses, such as updates on a brand's commercial strategy and performance
- Lead global commercial work streams/project teams supporting global commercial initiatives
- Represent the global commercial function in leadership forums, planning meetings, and cross-functional reviews as delegated by the VP
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE
- 8-12+ years of progressive experience in Commercial Operations, Strategy Consulting, or Business Leadership within beauty/CPG industry
- High level of comfort operating in a fast-paced, matrixed global organization with evolving priorities
- Exceptional written and oral communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complexity into clear, action-oriented insights
- Strong project management ability with experience overseeing multiple concurrent commercial initiatives
- Results driven leader, with the ability to bring new ideas to improve current practices and processes
