Directors are senior delivery leaders who own the end-to-end execution of complex transformation programs, from problem definition through implementation and value realization. They work directly with portfolio company executives and operating teams to deliver measurable impact.
Role OverviewThe firm is seeking a senior project leader and transformation operator with deep experience delivering procurement-led value creation initiatives in industrial environments. The ideal candidate is a proven delivery leader who has repeatedly led cross-functional teams through complex operational transformations, with procurement and sourcing as a core functional strength.
This role requires comfort operating at the intersection of strategy, operations, finance, and execution within real industrial settings, including plants, supply bases, engineering functions, and supply chains.
Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Transformation Delivery
- Leads teams of 2–4 Associates and Managers, ensuring analytical rigor, execution discipline, and measurable results
- Translates hypotheses and analyses into executable initiatives with clear owners, milestones, and value-tracking mechanisms
- Ensures sustained adoption and delivery of EBITDA and cash impact
Procurement-Led Value Creation
- Leads procurement-focused initiatives as part of broader transformation efforts, including:
- Strategic sourcing and category strategy development
- Direct and indirect material cost reduction
- Supplier consolidation and renegotiation
- Clean-sheeting and should-cost modeling
- Make-versus-buy and footprint-linked sourcing decisions
- Working capital improvement and inventory reduction
- Contract compliance and leakage recovery
- Partners closely with operations, engineering, quality, and finance to ensure practicality and successful implementation
Senior Client Leadership
- Serves as the primary on-site leader for client delivery and stakeholder alignment
- Facilitates executive decision-making and resolves tradeoffs among cost, service, quality, and risk
- Drives cadence management, issue resolution, and governance processes
Team and Intellectual Capital Development
- Coaches and develops junior team members in structured problem solving, analytics, and implementation skills
- Contributes to the development of the firm’s transformation playbooks, procurement toolkits, benchmarks, and methodologies
- Leads day-to-day execution and successful delivery of transformation initiatives
- Owns workplan development, initiative pipeline management, and value realization tracking
- Drives content development and quality across analyses, recommendations, and implementation plans
- Manages scope, pace, risks, and stakeholder expectations
- Leads executive-level presentations and working sessions
- Actively mentors and develops team members
- Contributes to the continuous improvement of the firm’s delivery capabilities and intellectual property
- Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Experience in management consulting, transformation roles, or operating leadership roles within industrial companies preferred
- Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives with measurable operational and financial outcomes
- Meaningful functional depth in procurement and sourcing delivery, including hands-on leadership of sourcing waves, supplier negotiations, cost modeling, and implementation
- Strong understanding of industrial operating environments, including manufacturing, engineered products, industrial services, and chemicals
- Strong financial and analytical capability, with the ability to link operational initiatives to EBITDA, cash flow, and ROI
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage senior stakeholders, and drive execution
- Excellent communication skills and executive presence
