Position OverviewThe Project Manager will have full responsibility for the successful delivery of large-scale rail and transit projects, managing cost, schedule, risk, contracts, and stakeholder relationships. This role oversees projects ranging from $60M to $200M+, working closely with public agencies and national general contractors in joint venture environments.
The Project Manager will act as the commercial and operational lead, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and profitably while maintaining strong relationships with owners, partners, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end delivery of rail and transit projects, owning budget, schedule, quality, and risk performance.
- Manage project financials including cost forecasting, cost-to-complete, change management, and margin protection.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with MTA, NYCTA, Amtrak, JV partners, and consultants, ensuring alignment and clear communication.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating with Superintendents and field teams to ensure execution aligns with plan.
- Oversee procurement, subcontractor performance, and vendor relationships to ensure scope, quality, and schedule compliance.
- Lead project meetings, progress reviews, and reporting to internal leadership and external stakeholders.
- Proactively identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to protect schedule, cost, and client relationships.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements, agency standards, and regulatory obligations.
- Partner with Superintendents to support field operations while maintaining accountability for overall project outcomes.
