Position OverviewThe EVP, Managing Director, Strategy will assume an integral leadership role in the organization, driving the overall vision, strategic direction, and growth of the Brand Strategy function. This person will be responsible for shaping and executing forward-thinking brand strategies for some of the world’s leading healthcare brands while fostering innovation and maintaining the agency's reputation for excellence. Reporting directly to the Executive Leadership Team, this individual will be a key driver in the agency’s strategic evolution, ensuring that brand strategies align with both client objectives and broader business goals.
This leadership role requires an individual with a robust strategic mindset, extensive industry experience, and an ability to collaborate with senior executives across the agency. The EVP, Managing Director, Strategy will lead a team of talented brand strategists, ensuring that they are equipped to deliver high-impact work while also developing a thriving and dynamic department.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership- Lead the vision and strategic direction for the Brand Strategy team, ensuring that all client brand strategies are innovative, data-driven, and aligned with BGB’s overarching business goals.
- Drive the development and implementation of brand positioning, brand architecture, and category strategy for key healthcare clients, with a focus on sustained business growth.
- Collaborate with the agency’s leadership and other departments to create integrated strategies that deliver exceptional client results, maintaining a holistic approach to brand communications.
- Advise C-suite and senior client leadership teams on complex brand challenges, bringing strategic insights and actionable solutions to enhance brand performance in the marketplace.
- Lead key initiatives in brand development, offering guidance on cutting‑edge strategies, market insights, and new opportunities for brand growth.
- Foster a culture of continuous innovation and excellence within the Brand Strategy department, encouraging new ways of thinking and the application of innovative strategies to client challenges.
- Serve as the primary strategic partner to executive-level clients, ensuring alignment between client goals and brand strategies that drive measurable business results.
- Build and maintain deep, long‑term relationships with clients, fostering trust and loyalty while consistently delivering high-quality brand strategies.
- Oversee new business development efforts, identifying opportunities for growth and working with cross‑functional teams to pitch and win new business.
- Drive high-level presentations and strategy discussions with clients and internal stakeholders, effectively articulating brand visions and recommendations.
- Lead and guide senior team members in presenting strategic solutions to clients, ensuring clarity, confidence, and alignment on all projects.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of brand strategists, providing guidance, development, and opportunities for professional growth.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration within the agency, ensuring the Brand Strategy team works seamlessly with creative, media, and analytics teams to develop and execute unified brand strategies.
- Actively contribute to talent acquisition, recruitment, and retention, building a diverse and exceptional Brand Strategy team.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive team training and development strategy that ensures continuous skill-building and strategic growth across the department.
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive team culture that encourages creativity, innovation, and accountability.
