As the Deputy Chief Development Officer for Individual Giving, you will play a key role in advancing Institutional Advancement’s priorities by securing the philanthropic support essential to The Met’s programs, exhibitions, capital projects, and operations. Managing a dynamic portfolio of 100 to 125 individuals with the capacity to make gifts ranging from $25,000 to $10,000,000, you will help drive the revenue necessary for the Museum’s continued strength and long-term strategic initiatives.

You will join an ambitious and collaborative team of development professionals and serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership, curators, and trustees who are deeply engaged in the Museum’s most critical fundraising efforts. In this role, you will work closely with colleagues across Development to identify high-potential donors and prospects and to design and execute tailored cultivation and solicitation strategies.

You will engage prospective donors through The Met’s extensive range of cultivation and stewardship events while also developing new opportunities aligned with donor interests. Your portfolio will be centered on assigned curatorial departments and institutional priorities, including exhibitions, educational programs, endowments, capital projects, and other Museum initiatives, supporting Institutional Advancement’s goals of revenue generation and department-wide collaboration.## PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
* Develop and steward a dynamic portfolio of 100 to 125 high-potential donors and prospects, prioritizing frequent, high-quality interactions such as meetings, lunches, gallery visits, and substantive conversations to advance relationships and philanthropic commitments.
* Build and sustain strong relationships with individuals in the portfolio, strategically positioning them for significant fundraising requests aligned with the Museum’s priority needs, with particular emphasis on major capital, programmatic, and general operations priorities.
* Strategically partner, as appropriate, with the Museum’s Trustees, Director and CEO, curators, and Development colleagues to coordinate and elevate cultivation and solicitation efforts.
