Change Order & Cost Control Manager

A well-established construction management & general contracting firm, recognized as ENR contractor of the year, operating throughout NYC and the Tri-State area, is seeking a Change Order & Cost Control Manager to lead change management and financial control across a diverse portfolio of active projects.

This is a highly visible role focused on protecting project margins through disciplined change-order execution, accurate cost tracking, and proactive financial oversight.

• Own the full lifecycle of Owner and Subcontractor Change Orders across multiple projects
• Identify scope changes early, price them accurately, and drive timely submissions and approvals
• Level subcontractor pricing, perform takeoffs as needed, and prepare detailed CO backup
• Maintain real-time cost forecasts, CO logs, and cost-to-complete reporting
• Partner with PMs, Supers, Estimating, and Accounting to protect margins and manage risk
• Produce clear financial summaries and dashboards highlighting change-order impact

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in change management, cost control, estimating, or project controls
• Strong understanding of GC job costing, buyout, subcontractor pricing, and CO workflows
• Advanced Excel skills; MS Project or Power BI a plus
• Detail-oriented, financially savvy, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• $115,000 – $145,000 base (DOE)
