The Collections Supervisor will report to the Associate Director as well as the VP of Treasury. They will oversee the Healthcare Pillar of the company’s accounts receivable portfolio, representing approximately $900M in total AR across 15 business entities. This individual will lead day‑to‑day collections strategy, support client account resolution, and ensure strong financial performance within a complex advertising environment.
The ideal candidate brings a proven track record in collections, strong analytical skills, and the ability to drive accountability with urgency. This role will supervise and mentor a team of 2–3 Collections Analysts located in Costa Rica, providing consistent guidance, performance feedback, and cross‑team coordination. Successful escalation management, both internally and externally, is critical in this role.
Responsibilities- Portfolio Oversight:
Manage and prioritize collections strategy for the Healthcare pillar’s $900M AR across 15 entities, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding balances. - Prioritize and manage completion of all assigned projects.
- Escalation Management:
Act as primary escalation point for complex collection issues, disputes, unresponsive clients, and internal stakeholder concerns. - Team Leadership:
Oversee, coach, and mentor a Costa Rica–based analyst team, developing their skills and holding them accountable to performance metrics. - Process Management:
Daily review of aging reports and conduct weekly/monthly AR review meetings with the team, escalating risk items, and recommending actions to mitigate exposure. - Communication &
Collaboration:
Work closely with internal departments including Sales, Revenue Operations, Account teams, Billing, and Legal to align actions, and drive issue resolution. Develop and maintain positive working relationships at all levels within the business from customers to business partners ensuring issues are resolved, future business needs are known, and all impacted departments are working together. - Reporting & Analytics:
Analyze collection trends, provide weekly and monthly updates, track KPI performance, and cash flow forecasting. Ad hoc reports as necessary. - Client Interaction:
Communicate with external clients when necessary to resolve discrepancies, billing concerns, escalations and strengthen relationships. Respond to questions and requests from customers along with internal contacts in a timely, and accurate manner. - Policy Compliance:
Ensure adherence to company collections policies, as well as industry standards. - Continuous Improvement:
Identify recurring issues, propose automation or workflow enhancements, and support operational excellence.
- Minimum 3 years of professional Collections or AR experience.
- Leadership and coaching capability – Experience supervising or mentoring team members preferred.
- Advertising, media, or agency experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing escalations and complex account portfolios.
- Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and stakeholder-facing.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and client groups.
