Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Managing professional delivery throughout the project lifecycle, including project plans, release plans, resource allocation, and status reports
- Defining project scope, determining action items, assigning ownership, creating project timetables, and tracking execution and workflow.
- Management of project risks, scope, budget, resources, and schedule
- Proactively coordinating and communicating with internal and external stakeholders, business partners and contractors to successfully execute projects in a timely manner.
- Track and communicate project progress from a schedule, cost, and risk perspective to the project team, stakeholders, and management.
- Coordinate requirements gathering, design sessions, training, go-live events, and other meetings with both internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinate Agile Ceremonies with the engineering team including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, demos, story refinement, and release planning.
- Track and report team velocity and other project metrics to management.
- Perform financial/budgeting activities and support variance root cause analysis
- Provide the necessary support for meeting customer SLAs
- Excellent verbal and written business communication skills
- Highly Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Highly Proficient with MS Project
- Proficiency with Atlassian Project Management tools including Jira and Confluence
- Minimum 7 years of experience leading the execution of projects in a modern software environment utilizing agile project management principles. Overall, 10 plus years of experience preferred
- Must be proficient in project forecasting and project accounting
- Must be able to work with different resource managers, divisions, and individuals to ensure all project tasks are coordinated and executed on-time and on-budget.
- Demonstrated excellent judgement, diplomacy and tact in managing clients
- Prior experience in law enforcement records management systems preferred
- Experience with public safety/law enforcement customers/government agencies is a plus Bachelor's degree in any analytical, quantitative, or technical field (engineering, math, computer science, stats, finance or similar), or equivalent experience
- A PMI Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) is a plus
