Manager of Special Events

Human Services Nonprofit

New York City - Hybrid

Salary Range: $80,000 to $95,000 per year, based on experience

Terrific Manager of Special Events role with a human services nonprofit in New York City. The position will join a team focused on providing an array of human services programming to improve the quality of life for older New Yorkers. The Manager of Special Events will be responsible for managing the organization's events from inception to completion including managing sponsor ships, obtaining venues, overseeing vendors, and maintaining budgets.

The role will be integral in building support for events and will manage a portfolio of sponsorship renewals.

Responsibilities:
  • Create plans, budgets, and calendars to manage the organization's special events
  • Collaborate with the development team to drive event sponsor ships and develop ideas for new events
  • Manage event planning/logistics, provide budgets, secure vendors and venues, as well as develop event programming and marketing
  • Develop and execute cultivation and stewardship events for donors along with development team
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Analyze metrics to determine the success of special events
Qualifications:
  • Approximately 3+ years of related events and fundraising experience
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with individual and corporate event sponsors
  • Collaborative and eager to support and drive organizational fundraising events
  • Occasional weekends and evenings for attendance at events
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and events including fundraising and event planning
  • Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred
