** About the opportunity
** Edelman Smithfield is seeking an entrepreneurial, growth-oriented, digital-first Senior Vice President to lead and grow the firm’s digital and social media capabilities. This individual will play a key leadership role in shaping and advancing digital innovation and excellence across content development, paid and organic social, analytics and measurement, community engagement, and digital thought leadership. The ideal candidate will pair deep digital expertise with a sophisticated understanding of the financial landscape, translating complex business and market dynamics into compelling, high-impact digital communications.
The SVP will collaborate closely with Smithfield’s senior leadership to lead digital client work across the financial communications spectrum, including retail banking, fintech, institutional asset management, private equity, and hedge funds, among others. This individual will work closely with a specialized team of financial communications practitioners to strengthen and scale core capabilities, foster cross-disciplinary collaboration, and drive new business opportunities that further expand Edelman Smithfield’s impact.
The ideal candidate will have proven account management skills and take an active role in strategically driving digital account work and building strong client relationships.

** Responsibilities
* ** Lead and support the growth of an expanding digital offering within Edelman Smithfield, overseeing its development, positioning, and market differentiation.
* Shape the group’s growth strategy and identify, pursue, and drive new business opportunities by cultivating relationships with prospective clients, leading and contributing to pitches, and expanding existing accounts.
* Serve as a trusted strategic advisor and primary point of contact for clients, offering thoughtful counsel, anticipating needs, and ensuring consistently high-quality, results-driven work.
* Champion the value of digital across clients and teams, elevating program performance and delivering best-in-class digital and social strategies with measurable impact.
* Set and oversee strategic communications direction, including the creation of annual and quarterly plans, integrated campaigns, and content strategies aligned with client and business objectives.
* Drive digital education and enablement across the broader team, helping non-digital colleagues build fluency, confidence, and capability to deliver integrated, digital-first client work.
* Develop and manage staffing plans, budgets, and scopes of work to ensure operational excellence, profitability, and effective resource utilization.
* Stay ahead of digital communications and marketing trends, bringing forward new ideas and best practices to enhance client strategies and drive continuous improvement.
