SECURITY OPERATIONS & COMPLIANCE MANAGER
Building Security & Access Control
Location: JFK Airport – Terminal 4
Reports To: Director of Operations
Pay Range: $80,000 – $90,000 annually

Position Overview
The Operations & Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing security personnel and ensuring full compliance with Company and Client standards, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations. This role serves as a key operational leader and liaison among internal leadership, contract partners, regulatory agencies, and airline stakeholders. The Manager ensures service excellence, operational readiness, safety, and continuous improvement within a high-security aviation environment operating 24/7.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Oversight & Compliance
- Provide direct guidance, leadership, and operational direction to staff.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual requirements, safety protocols, regulatory standards, and performance metrics.
- Monitor operational readiness and post integrity across all assigned areas.
Staffing & Scheduling
- Oversee staffing schedules, daily rosters, attendance tracking, and deficiency reporting.
- Ensure all posts are fully staffed, accounting for breaks, sick calls, tardiness, training, and approved leave.
- Address staffing gaps in real time to maintain uninterrupted operations.
Reporting & Performance Management
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational briefings and reports to senior leadership.
- Track KPIs, audit findings, incident trends, and performance deficiencies.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans to address operational or compliance gaps.
Training & Readiness
- Ensure all agents meet required training, licensing, uniform, and contractual compliance standards.
- Maintain accurate training records and ensure completion of recurrent and mandatory training.
Incident & Emergency Response
- Respond to operational issues and incidents as they arise.
- Lead or coordinate emergency response efforts as required, supporting a 24/7 operation.
- Participate in daily security briefings and scheduled contract management meetings.
Stakeholder & Agency Liaison
- Serve as the primary liaison with JFKIAT, TSA, PAPD, CBP, airline partners, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Foster strong working relationships to support operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
Strategic Planning & Continuous Improvement
- Prepare and present annual performance review materials to leadership.
- Provide recommendations for operational enhancements, efficiencies, and service improvements.
- Support audits, inspections, and compliance reviews as needed.
Confidentiality & Information Security
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all information-security and data-protection protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in aviation security, terminal operations, or regulated contract environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, high-volume operations in a compliance-driven setting.
- Strong background in crisis management preparedness and emergency response.
- Excellent communication, reporting, auditing, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Required certifications and licenses, including: (must be willing and able to obtain with the first 45 days of employment)
- NYS Security License
- First Aid / CPR / AED
- Fire Guard Certification
- Ability to remain on feet for extended periods, including prolonged standing and constant walking throughout the terminal.
- Ability to patrol large operational areas, including indoor and outdoor environments.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb stairs as required during daily operations and emergency situations.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 30 pounds unassisted.
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations, including rapid movement across the terminal.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-security aviation environment with exposure to varying noise levels, weather conditions, and operational demands.
- Visual, auditory, and verbal communication abilities sufficient to monitor activities, identify hazards, and communicate clearly in person and via radio or telephone.
