Contract Administrator III
Work Location:

Base pay range: $/yr - $/yr
Position Description SummarySupports the APM Commercial Manager in development, oversight, and monitoring procedures to ensure contract compliance, including non‑compliance, deductions, relief event claims, change orders, and project close‑out.
EssentialJob Duties
- Coordinate with other functional support teams to assess disputes and relief event claims, prepare responses to claims, change orders, and related contract documents.
- Contract compliance analysis and issue resolution strategy.
- In conjunction with the APM Commercial Manager, provide change‑control/contract administration expertise for change orders, contractual and estimating processes, analysis, and resolution.
- Develop contractual tracking and reconciliation processes during the D&C and O&M phases, including availability payments, D&C and O&M period noncompliance occurrences, approvals/sign‑offs.
- Create and develop contractual and change‑order processes including relief and compensation events, change‑order content, analysis of merit of change proposals from the developer, support Project Controls in generating independent estimates and schedules for developer change orders deemed meritorious, present evaluation findings, prepare required reports and correspondence, coordinate and obtain all required approvals/sign‑offs.
- Knowledge of and familiarity with project and document management software (e.g., Primavera, Prolog SharePoint).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel,Point, Word).
- 10+ years of experience with design, construction, and administration for contract management, overseeing large, complex construction projects.
- Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams to provide comprehensive, business‑oriented solutions to challenging problems.
- Proficiency with development, implementation, and management of contract management and change‑control processes across various alternative project delivery methods.
- In‑depth knowledge of alternative project delivery method contracting relationships and typical contracting terms among Owner, Developer, and other parties.
- Ability to read and interpret civil, structural, and site utilities plans and detailed shop drawings.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Attention to detail is a paramount requirement.
- May assume other duties as required; may be required to work past regular shift.
- B.S./B.A. degree in engineering, construction management or related field, or equivalent work experience.
The position offers a hybrid/telework schedule:
Telework on Monday and Friday;
Onsite on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
