Location: New York

This is a job that is spent on the field 90% of the time. You must have transportation and be willing to commute to 5 Burroughs, Suffolk and Nassau County.

We are a 42-year-old privately held and growing company looking for an organized, self‑motivated person to grow with the company.

The primary responsibility of our Project Manager is seeing our projects from start to finish. A majority of the Project Manager job is done in the field. Sterling Floor Designs seeks an experienced, personable, motivated, and organized individual to perform duties as a Project Manager to support and grow the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in scheduling subcontractors and ceramic employees for installations.
  • Navigate to jobsites and proactively find potential issues.
  • Coordinate with management about manpower on sites.
  • Talk to supers and identify upcoming installs, plan accordingly.
  • Discuss with supers any potential issues, delays and site conditions.
  • Pre‑install walkthroughs to ensure we are following manufacturer guidelines.
  • Relay shortages to the office.
  • Schedule pick‑up and deliveries.
  • Review scope of work—identify any requested.

    STATE that would need a “change order.”
  • Help ensure we are meeting project budget goals.
  • Review diagrams.
  • Ensure installers on site have all material and necessary tools to complete the job properly.
  • Provide detailed daily progress report at the end of each day—update progress trackers.
  • Post‑install walkthroughs at the completion of each project.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree required.
  • 5 years of Project Management experience preferred.
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook required.
  • Knowledge of the Home Improvement industry is a plus.
  • Ability to work as a team.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish a plus.
  • Medical, dental and vision plans.
