Night Site Safety Manager
Location:
New York City, NY
Structure Tone, part of the STO Building Group, is seeking a Night Site Safety Manager to lead safety operations on construction sites during nighttime shifts.
Essential Functions- Implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal OSHA rules and regulations; handles safety, health, and environmental matters.
- Monitors effectiveness of the safety management system and tracks progress against the Structure Tone safety Performance Standards.
- Leads and provides functional management for safety personnel.
- Plans and implements training programs for managers and employees in work site safety practices, fire prevention, and correct handling of chemicals, toxins, equipment, and other materials.
- Inspects organization facilities to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, determines corrective or preventative measures, and follows up to ensure implementation.
- Ensures processes exist for promptly alerting the business and STO to significant accidents and incidents, participates in investigations, and reports findings.
- Compiles and submits regulatory accident reports.
- Produces monthly, quarterly and annual safety management reports.
- Reviews accident and incident reports, identifies trends, and recommends actions to prevent recurrence.
- Regularly meets with safety personnel to monitor and review function management.
- Reports safety performance at management team meetings.
- Consults and liaises with the Corporate Safety Director on safety management in the division/business unit.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 10-20 years of general construction experience.
- OSHA 30‑hour training required.
