** Job Overview:
** The IRC in NY is seeking a candidate to play a critical role within the Asylum Seeker Program, which empowers asylum seekers to chart their path towards greater agency and wellbeing. The program provides case management services, resources, and advocacy to meet the basic needs of eligible asylum seekers and other recent arrivals in the New York City area.

The Casework Supervisor is responsible for supervision of client-facing case management staff and oversight of case management direct services under the Assistance for Migrants Program (AMP), which provides comprehensive and culturally-responsive case management, legal, financial and employment assistance to asylum seekers and other recently arrived migrants.  The AMP project is funded through the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA) and is housed within the IRC in NY Asylum Seeker Program portfolio.

The Casework Supervisor plans and implements case management programming, coordinates service delivery, supervises staff, ensures program goals are met, and satisfies budgetary, compliance and reporting responsibilities for the assigned portfolio. They oversee quality control for both service provision and contractual compliance. This includes overseeing the provision of services within required time frames, maintaining program compliance, coordinating case file reviews, completing program reports, and managing the distribution of direct client financial assistance.

Towards these goals, they meet with clients periodically to ensure positive client experience and to receive client voice and feedback. They also closely collaborate with internal operations staff to coordinate distribution and reconciliation of direct client financial assistance. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Asylum Seeker Programming.
** Major Responsibilities:
*** Service Delivery
** Guide the implementation of the Assistance for Migrants Program.
* Manage client enrollment and eligibility screening in collaboration with caseworkers and program support staff; lead group program orientations for new clients as needed.
* Assign cases to caseworkers; ensure required services are completed in a timely manner including needs assessment, service plan, legal orientation, and community referrals. Additional services and referrals may include legal services, financial assistance, school enrollment, shelter navigation, access to public benefits, mental health and trafficking screenings, among other supportive services aligning from client goals.
* Collaborate with other departments and partners to facilitate timely internal and external referrals, including close coordination with Legal and Economic Empowerment Departments, among other internal IRC in NY departments.
* Monitor timely case closure; ensure programming is responsive to client feedback through administration and review of client satisfaction surveys.
* Partnership Building
** Identify and maintain relationships with local government and community-based organizations to ensure current understanding of landscape and resources for asylum seekers in NYC and promote client access to critical benefits and services.
* Develop and maintain vendor relationships that create budgetary savings and improve efficiency, in collaboration with community engagement and management teams.
* Documentation, Reporting and Contract Compliance
** Ensure that case file documentation is maintained in compliance with contract requirements.
* Guide the timely implementation of program updates as needed.
* Draft program reports, make recommendations, edits, and corrections as needed.
* Assist with the preparation for all monitoring visits including IRC, state, and federal agencies.
* Monitor program execution to ensure compliance with funder and IRC requirements; communicate program needs to management team.
