Description
Plans, directs and provides general supervision of assigned clinical areas within the Ambulatory Care departments. Responsibilities include budgetary oversight, compliance with all quality initiatives and regulatory mandates. Plans, implements and evaluates new programs to enhance patient care and growth of assigned departments. In charge of overseeing a team of nurses as they provide healthcare services to patients and manage their records.
Their duties include training, scheduling and mentoring nursing staff, managing a budget for their team and consulting on patient treatment plans.
Establish and maintain nursing standards and enforce them on their team to ensure that all staff implement best practices when interacting with patients and tracking their treatment. Supervise the volume of patients and delegate tasks to team members so they can efficiently process the flow of patients through intake, care and discharge.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree or greater, with appropriate clinical course of study
Required:
Current New York State licensure of Practical Nurse (LPN)
Skills Required:
5+ years in an Ambulatory Care setting, with 2 years of management or supervisory experience required.
