Painter; Fort Drum Mountain Community Homes

Overview

Winn Companies is seeking a Temporary Painter to join our military housing team at Fort Drum, NY
.

In this role, you will be responsible for painting homes, primarily interiors. You will also complete other site responsibilities and projects as assigned.

The pay rate for this position is $19.51 per hour. This position is located at a federal facility. In accordance with the REAL , effective May 7, 2025, a REAL  driver s license/ required in order to access the federal facility. Additionally, this is a seasonal position with an expected end date of September 30th subject to change based on business needs.

• Paint both the exterior and interior of homes, common areas, and community offices and buildings.
• Perform all painting in accordance with schedule issued by management.
• Apply texture to ceilings and walls using an air texture applicator and hopper.
• Ensure proper protection of unpainted surfaces through the use of drop cloths, tarps, tape, masking, and paint shields.
• Maintain a vehicle inventory or paint equipment and supplies.
• Maintain all equipment in as clean and neat a condition as possible.
• Attend trainings, workshops, and meetings as the position requires.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
• A current driver s license in good standing and ability to meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.
• Knowledge of surface peculiarities and types of paint and sealants for different applications.
• Knowledge of multiple painting methods, including brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
• Ability to pass a physical examination to ensure respirator health and capacity if working on a property that paints with sprayers.
• Ability to work to deadlines and manage time effectively under pressure.
• Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work.
• Basic knowledge of computers.

• Vocational or technical training.
• 1-3 years of trade or apprentice experience.
