Handyman, Maintenance​/Cleaning, Building Maintenance

Overview

This is a part-time role for one of LIVunLtd's clients located in the Upper West Side. Candidates must be able to work 2-3 days per week, with shifts ending prior to 5:00 PM.

LIVunLtd is looking for a reliable Handyman who can handle a variety of tasks simultaneously while delivering a high level of customer service. The handyman will be responsible for conducting basic maintenance and essential cleaning within the amenity spaces. To be successful, you will need to be capable of completing basic maintenance and repair tasks without supervision and be comfortable using a wide variety of hand and power tools to complete delegated tasks.

• Operate basic hand tools including but not limited to: plumbing snake, electric drill, sander, nail gun, and staple gun
• Perform minor spackling or painting in the amenity space
• Operate machinery including floor buffers, wet vacuums, and dry vacuums
• Perform simple repairs on amenity space appliances, machines, fitness equipment, and fixtures
• Assist with superficial cleaning of building areas with focus on highly touched surfaces (handles, exercise machine display control boards, door handles, faucet handles, etc.)
• Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of various related devices and appliances
• Repair and maintenance tasks including painting, sanding, patching walls, hanging art, installing small fixtures such as door handles, art, tissue and toilet paper holders, and more
• Perform cleaning duties to help maintain showroom quality (vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, removing trash, restocking toiletries and paper goods, polishing fixtures, dusting and wiping surfaces)
• Report unsafe conditions to the on-site LIVunLtd manager
• Adhere to and adapt to LIVunLtd policies, procedures and initiatives
• Wear corporate/building approved uniforms for each LIVunLtd location where you are working

• Prior experience in a maintenance and repair role is required
• Exceptional customer service, organization, communication, and multi-tasking skills; ability to maintain a clean and sanitary environment
• Ability to complete a wide array of repair and maintenance tasks with minimal supervision
• Physical ability to remain standing for long periods
• Physical requirements may include kneeling, bending, reaching, climbing, standing for long durations, and lifting at least 40 pounds
• Flexible availability for days, nights or weekends

The Handyman position pays $23.00-$25.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
