Experience:

Minimum 1 year of housekeeping, janitorial, maintenance, or related experience.

Certifications/Licenses:
Valid NYS Driver’s License desirable but not required.

Work Location Requirement:
Onsite position.

The Facilities Custodian/Mover is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and basic maintenance of assigned facilities. The role also includes moving, transporting, and setting up furniture and equipment, working under the supervision of the Director of Facilities.

• Clean and maintain interior building areas including offices, conference rooms, lobbies, restrooms, and common spaces
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, remove gum, clean windows, and operate industrial cleaning equipment
• Follow daily and scheduled cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
• Perform minor building repairs such as fixing leaky faucets or faulty light switches
• Clean and restock restrooms; empty trash; replace liners; maintain recycling
• Respond to spills, floods, and other urgent cleaning needs
• Restock cleaning carts and closets at the end of each shift
• Monitor and report pest concerns
• Move, lift, pack, load, and transport furniture, equipment, and household items
• Perform grounds upkeep including sidewalk clearing, gardening tasks, grass mowing, and snow removal
• Other duties as assigned
