Building Manager; Live In S12,S13

We are seeking a Facilities Supervisor for a temporary, full-time position supporting our Empower program. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in facility maintenance, supervisory experience, and the required certifications (or a willingness to obtain them within an agreed timeframe).

• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch)
• Pay Rate: 32.00 per hour
• Type: Temporary, Full-Time

• Recruit, train, and supervise maintenance staff.
• Develop and execute a preventative maintenance plan, including fire safety, OSHA, and other system requirements.
• Manage and monitor work orders, ensuring timely completion.
• Track maintenance activities, work orders, inventory, and purchases using a computerized maintenance system.
• Respond to emergency calls outside of regular working hours.
• Assist in preparing the capital budget.
• Ensure timely completion and filing of all regulatory inspections.

• High School Diploma (or equivalent).
• 3+ years of building maintenance experience
  , with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to respond effectively in emergencies.

• P-98:
  Fuel-oil Piping and Storage Systems (must-have).
• S-13:
  Citywide Standpipe Systems.
• S-95:
  Supervision of Fire Alarm Systems and related systems.
• F-80:
  Coordinator of Fire Safety and Alarm Systems in Homeless Shelters.
