The Warehouse Worker's main responsibilities include receiving and processing incoming products, preparing orders for transport, and performing inventory and quality control duties. This person ensures the warehouse is clean and organized, maintained in accordance with the facility protocols and safety standards.
Work Hours- 8 hr shift + 30‑minute break = 8.5 hrs on site
- Full time position
- This req is specifically to fill our overnight shift (11PM – 7:30 AM)
- Amtrak’s Sunnyside Yard in Queens, NYC
- 39‑29 Honeywell St, Long Island City, NY 11101
- Static schedule with a shift bid twice a year
- Back‑to‑back days off guaranteed
- 40 hrs guaranteed, with overtime offered
- Job site is within walking distance from both Queensboro Plaza & Queen Plaza Subway Stations (3‑5 min walk). All subway lines within a 10‑minute walk or less include E, F, G, N, M, R, W, & 7 trains
Hourly rate: $18.70 – $18.70.

Job Responsibilities- Pick, build, and stage route‑specific orders for train service
- Prepare product kits such as silverware roll‑ups, condiment arrays, and toiletry kits
- Load and unload railcars, trailers, and delivery vehicles
- Transport products between warehouse, yard, and train locations
Operate pallet jacks, carts, golf carts, and other material‑handling equipment (as trained) - Stock, rotate, and replenish inventory following FIFO and food‑safety standards
- Identify and report damaged goods, shortages, or quality issues
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment
- Ensure safety procedures, yard rules, and SOPs are adhered to
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, drivers, and train crews

Qualifications- Must be over 18 years of age
- High school education or equivalent is preferred
- 2 years of previous warehouse experience is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills
- Basic computer skills
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery
- Able to lift up to 50 lb; frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 35 lb
- Some client locations require a current valid driver’s license. If required, an MVR will be run as part of the pre‑employment screening process
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking & standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
EducationHigh school education or equivalent is preferred.
