Overview

SPORTIME owns and operates 17 tennis, pickleball, sports, camp and fitness clubs across NYS, including sites across Long Island, in Westchester, Manhattan, the Capital Region and New Jersey. Several locations feature dedicated and/or blended pickleball courts, and offer court-time, instruction and related programs. SPORTIME is creating and scaling a new pickleball division to own or lease and operate dedicated indoor and outdoor pickleball sites in current markets and nearby areas.

• The Housekeeping staff perform all necessary janitorial and maintenance tasks inside the club houses, offices, and locker rooms.
• Maintain the outdoor/indoor areas of the facilities and the surrounding grounds, including all outdoor maintenance of the grounds and surrounding area to the facility.
• Additional duties may be assigned as they develop. This is a hands-on, full-time position.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and secure work environment.
• All janitorial work in and around the facility (washing in and/or mopping floors, stairwells, walls, dusting, vacuuming rugs/upholstery, cleaning glass surfaces, wood panels, sweeping, applying wax to the floor).
• Restack paper products, soap, shampoo, razors, deodorant, sanitary napkins, and slippers supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness of the entire entrance lobby, and hallways, floors, carpets, furniture, doors, windows, tings, and sills; restock and dispose of trash bags from receptacles.
• Collect and store: tennis balls and other equipment used on courts; collect and dispose of trash bags from receptacles.
• Clean and inspect: all equipment, facilities, and surfaces; ensure MSDS are up to date and accessible.
• Wipe dust from exits, door hinges, emergency lights, clocks, and other project items; refill water coolers on courts.
• During inclement weather, assist in keeping entrances and walkways clear of water and snow; change light bulbs and batteries in automatic dispensers.
• Support court maintenance that includes court sweeping, lines, and general cleaning as needed.
• Assist in court maintenance which includes cleaning and keeping all entrances and walkways clear of hazards; notify the MOD and GM of any safety concerns.
• Ensure sport safety policies and procedures are followed and maintain PPE and protective gear as required.
• Uphold safety standards by wearing protective gear when using cleaning supplies, identify and correct tripping hazards, and ensure that all M/S/D/S (material safety data sheets) are up to date and accessible.

• Knowledge of maintaining pickleball courts and a PLUS.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, painting, plumbing, construction and mechanical issues.
• Knowledge of basic principles for providing customer service.
• Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms and/or legs.
• Ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly.
• Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.

COMPENSATION: $18.00 per hour

SCHEDULE: Full-time, Monday - Friday afternoon/evening.
