Porter​/Janitor

City Pickle is a dynamic and rapidly growing sport and lifestyle brand based in New York City. Our mission is to spread the joy of pickleball and put a paddle in the hand of every urban dweller. We specialize in operating both permanent, indoor pickleball clubs as well as high-profile, seasonal activations.

Location: City Pickle Times Square

Compensation: $18/hour

Hours: Up to 40 hours per week

Start Date: February 1, 2026 (Club opening mid-February)

City Pickle is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Porter/Janitor. In this essential role, the Porter/Janitor will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and ensuring a safe and presentable environment at our Times Square location. The primary focus will be on performing janitorial duties, cleaning various areas, including the courts, and providing support to other team members as needed.

• Perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and wiping down various surfaces throughout the facility.
• Empty and dispose of trash and recycling bins in designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness in and around event spaces, and courts.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and report any shortages or maintenance needs to the appropriate manager.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down event spaces, including arranging furniture, removing trash, and performing post-event cleaning.
• Ability to repair minor issues observed during cleaning duties.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, using appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
• Provide assistance to guests or employees who require directions or other basic information.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with guests and staff members.

• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized environment.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing time and prioritizing tasks effectively.
• Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift heavy objects, and stand or walk for extended periods of time.
• Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and evenings.

• Monday – Friday: 6:00am – 11:00pm
• Saturday – Sunday: 7:00am – 10:00pm
