This is a part-time on-site role for a Custodian, located in the New York City Metropolitan Area. The Custodian will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the school premises, including classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and other common areas. Day-to-day tasks include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces. Responsibilities also include ensuring supplies are restocked, performing light maintenance tasks, and assisting with setup for school events.

The Custodian plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces
• Experience with basic maintenance tasks, such as handling minor repairs and using cleaning equipment
• Ability to restock and manage cleaning supplies as needed
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and reliability
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical capability to lift and move heavy objects and perform tasks requiring physical stamina
• Good communication skills and a customer-service-oriented mindset
• Prior experience in janitorial or custodial work is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must submit to a background check
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
