Position Title: Maintenance Engineer

We have an immediate opening for a Maintenance Engineer to help operate, maintain, and perform repairs to building systems and infrastructure at the Aman Hotel & Residences in Midtown. These systems include, but are not limited to, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), BMS controls, lighting systems, and other building infrastructure systems. This is a 40-hour-per-week position reporting to the Chief Engineer.

Purpose for Position: To maintain assets in all Residential areas to an acceptable quality standard.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Essential Responsibilities

• Work along side engineering team.
• Uphold all Engineering related brand and service standards. Go on daily walkthroughs throughout buildings, grounds, and physical plant for conformance to resort standards and guest requirements
• Assure the building is prepared with functional equipment for all seasons and assists with upcoming storms. Assist in maintaining the grounds (i.e., keeping common pass-throughs neat and clear for our guests and team members)
• Always provides professional and courteous service
• Performs all preventative maintenance in front and back of house spaces, including carpentry, furniture repairs, construct and install building frameworks, including walls, floors, and door frames. Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures. etc
• Maintains accurate maintenance logs and records as required while ensuring safety standards and procedures are followed
• Ensures all projects are completed on schedule and according to specifications, as determined by the Director of Engineering
• Conducts regular inspections of resort rooms, common areas, grounds, and back-of-house facilities for defects; documents conditions and makes necessary repairs
• Responds to all emergency situations prepared to assist
• Responds to service requests for guest rooms and common areas
• Attends Team Member meetings as required

Some of the duties of this position may change based on the business' needs.

Physical Demands

Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. It requires moving, standing to a significant degree, reaching, ascending, handling, feeling, communicating, conversing, exchanging information, and identifying and observing.

• Possesses general repair skills such as carpentry and other general repair skills
• Displays skill in the safe use of hand and power tools, along with other materials required to perform repair and maintenance tasks
