About the RoleMNY Ventures is one of the fastest growing DTC health and wellness supplement brands operating across DTC, Amazon, and Tik Tok Shop, hitting a 9-figure run rate in 18 months. We are hiring a Director of Operations to own the engine of the business.
This role exists to ensure we never run out of inventory, never over‑order inventory, continuously drive down costs, improve supplier terms, and launch new products quickly and cleanly across all channels.
This is not a passive oversight role — it requires comfort operating in health and wellness, where regulatory scrutiny and operational precision are critical. The Director of Operations will own supply chain execution end to end, from raw materials through finished goods, fulfillment, and post‑delivery feedback loops, while launching new SKUs consistently across DTC, Amazon, and Tik Tok Shop.
Key ResponsibilitiesInventory and Availability Ownership
- Maintain continuous in‑stock availability across DTC, Amazon, and Tik Tok Shop channels through proactive inventory planning and replenishment controls
- Monitor inventory levels daily and forecast demand across all channels
- Balance inventory availability without over‑committing to excessive forward stock
- Build systems that prevent both stockouts and excessive forward inventory positions while maintaining strong cash flow efficiency and disciplined working capital management
Operational Leadership:
Execution + Strategic Planning
- Own day‑to‑day communications with suppliers, manufacturers, and 3PL partners to ensure smooth operational execution and issue resolution
- Act as the day‑in‑day operational point of accountability for cross‑functional coordination across supply chain, finance, customer service, and channel teams
- Develop and maintain 3‑, 6‑, 9‑, and 12‑month operational roadmaps to support growth, capacity planning, and scalable infrastructure
- Translate long‑term growth targets into actionable production, inventory, and fulfillment plans
Cash Flow, Costs, and Supplier Terms
- Own operational cash flow planning tied to inventory and production schedules
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and MOQs with suppliers to improve margins
- Continuously drive down COGS through supplier optimization and process improvements
- Partner closely with finance to align inventory decisions with cash constraints
Supply Chain Depth and Simplification
- Build deep understanding of the full supply chain from raw ingredients to finished goods
- Source and manage raw material suppliers, manufacturers, bottle suppliers, cap suppliers, and label vendors
- Identify redundancies, inefficiencies, and risks in the supply chain and simplify where possible
- Improve lead times, reliability, and quality across all supplier relationships
New Product Development Execution
- Take founder‑approved product concepts and fully own execution
- Negotiate with manufacturers, raw suppliers, and packaging vendors
- Coordinate with graphics, legal, Amazon, Tik Tok Shop, and DTC listings to launch products correctly
- Enforce aggressive but realistic timelines to ensure fast, repeatable launches
- Ensure new products are launched cleanly across all channels
Quality Control and Compliance
- Ensure proper certificates of analysis and testing for raw materials and finished goods
- Build and maintain quality standards across all suppliers
- Investigate and resolve quality issues quickly and permanently
- Ensure compliance requirements are met across products and channels
Fulfillment and Post‑Purchase Execution
- Manage relationships with 3PLs to ensure on‑time, accurate fulfillment
- Work with customer service to translate product or shipping issues back to suppliers or 3PLs
- Resolve recurring fulfillment issues at the root cause level
- Meet in person with key suppliers and 3PL partners at least quarterly
- Comfortable working in an on‑call Start up environment
