PositionSummary
The Supply Chain Director role encompasses the End‑to‑End Supply Chain management of all activities involved in Planning, Inventory management, Sourcing & Packaging, Procurement, warehouse and logistics management activities.
Essential Functions- Manage and develop the Site Supply Chain team, including setting departmental objectives incorporating any global objectives set. Supporting and mentoring members of the team in the achievement of these objectives.
- Manage the integrity of all site Supply Chain information held on the company MRP system, including efficiency, cost and delivery information.
- Responsible for component delivery to the quality and the manufacturing areas to enable the most efficient capacity utilization.
- Ensure the successful achievement of Purchasing KPIs to meet the business needs.
- Responsible for managing and monitoring inventory targets and stock turns set by the business.
- Modelling succession planning for team and applying process to provide solutions for the business for exits and promotions.
- Deliver the transactional process of supplier transition/rationalization. Managing order placement, dual sourcing, inventory management and supplier readiness.
- Ensuring freight compliance for Incoming freight.
- Support the Sales and Operating planning process by analyzing site and supplier capacities and developing production actionable plans.
- Play an active role in supporting the Global Supply Chain team in identifying and developing new suppliers through to approved supplier status, creation of price and supply contracts, ongoing development of existing suppliers, activities to include on time delivery adherence, supplier quality development and delivery programs – (Lean Replenishment System, Direct Line Feed, vendor managed Inventory) etc.
- Be first escalation point for supply performance opportunities.
- Ensure adequate monitors are in place locally along the supply chain to identify risks and opportunities both in a timely manner and to drive actions with appropriate intervention and personnel.
- Seeks opportunities to leverage the Company’s volumes, knowledge, and relationships across multiple divisions.
- Collaborates with management team to conceive, create, develop, implement and monitor comprehensive and effective strategic plans to improve global Supply Chain initiatives and objectives.
- Reviews and approves purchases over a specified dollar amount as well as non‑routine purchases.
- Directs strategic sourcing of raw materials and services that align with goals and objectives.
- Effectively communicates globally with all executive levels and operational management to ensure that goals and objectives are being met.
- Manages Supply Chain department staff according to company standards (appraisals, training, development, discipline, etc.).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA/MS a plus)
- Strong understanding of batch manufacturing and constraints (compounding, filling/assembly, changeovers, line rates)
- 8–12+ years of progressive supply chain/operations experience, including leadership roles
- Experience in cosmetics, personal care, CPG, pharmaceuticals, or other regulated batch manufacturing preferred
