Roadside Assistance Driver - Tow

• Roadside Service Tech I-Tow is responsible for providing safe, best-in-class roadside solutions for AAA members while ensuring positive member experiences and meeting performance standards and satisfaction rates.
• Respond to member requests for service within the established ETA; ensure personal safety, member safety, and vehicle security; educate members on possible issues; provide jump starts, replace flat tires, present vehicle entries, and other related services.
• Provide minor mechanical assistance (if trained and equipped) to get the member’s vehicle moving; if not successful, tow the vehicle to repair facilities or other member-requested destinations; promote AAA products and services; ensure complete resolution of member issues.
• Maintain AAA high standards of service and image: keep service vehicle and equipment in good working condition; maintain inventory of tools and products; follow traffic and safety procedures; present a professional image; operate the MDC computer to receive and update calls; process cash and credit card transactions accurately; safeguard confidential information and follow policies.
• Promote AAA products and services and educate members on battery replacement services; coordinate with Dispatch to help members reach their destinations; work with other teams as needed.
• Work independently with limited face-to-face interaction, flexible to cover a 24/7 operation and varied shifts.
• Take care to prevent damage and injury when securing vehicles and responding to changing vehicle dynamics.
• Support various fleet locations as needed, including nights, extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education
High School Diploma or GED required

Experience
At least 21 years of age required; post-secondary training in automotive mechanics and familiarity with electrical troubleshooting preferred

Licenses and Certifications
Active and valid driver’s license issued by a single state or jurisdiction; satisfactorily pass a motor vehicle record check during pre-hire screening and periodically during employment as required

Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $23.50 - $27.00 per hour. Base pay varies with knowledge, skills, shift differentials, and experience. Annual bonuses and opportunities for additional compensation through incentives are offered. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, wellness, financial (6% 401k match), and other employee and membership benefits.

Shift Differentials:
Overnight $2.75 per hour (10pm–6am);
Evening $1.75 per hour (6pm–10pm);
Weekend $1 per hour. Differentials can be combined.

Shift: Friday–Monday 6:00 am – 4:30 pm

Sign-on bonus terms:
Any candidate who accepts a full-time, regular Roadside Technician position with AAA Northeast before 12/30/25 is eligible for a $2500 sign-on bonus. The bonus is issued in two installments: after successful completion of 3 months of employment and after successful completion of 6 months. Terms take effect on the first day of work.
