Responsibilities
- Administer personal trust, investment agency, IRA, and guardianship account relationships in which the Trust Company serves in a fiduciary role, acting as the primary client contact
- Evaluate trust beneficiary needs through comprehensive assessments to determine the appropriateness of trust distributions
- Advise on appropriate products and services based on client objectives, tax and estate considerations, risk tolerance, and asset allocation strategies
- Engage with clients and collaborate with families, beneficiaries, accountants, and attorneys to assess and address client needs
- Initiate proactive outreach to high-value prospects and clients through PM teams to promote trust and investment management services
- Build strategic relationships with centers of influence to expand and strengthen the client base
- Document all client outreach and business development activities to support performance tracking and targeted analysis
- Sustain ongoing relationships with existing clients, beneficiaries, and referral sources to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Channel appropriate referrals to other business units within the firm to deliver comprehensive client solutions
- Monitor developments in probate and fiduciary law while pursuing ongoing professional development opportunities
- Enforce strict compliance with operational risk controls and regulatory requirements, including Banking Department and FINRA standards
- Coordinate with outside legal counsel and professional advisors to ensure legal and regulatory compliance in trust and fiduciary account administration
- Represent the Trust Company in community organizations and activities to enhance brand presence and reputation
- Bachelor's degree, with advanced JD or MBA
- 3-5 years of experience
- Experience at a trust company or at a law firm with trust work required
- Knowledge of financial planning and estate planning techniques
- Demonstrated success working in a team environment
- Ability to meet time constraints without constant supervision
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
