The Role

The Associate Recruiting Senior Coordinator - US Campus Relations is an integral part of Latham’s Associate Recruiting team. This role will be responsible for coordinating all phases of law student engagement, including serving as a liaison to law schools, coordinating with internal departments, and providing mentorship and support to junior team members, while supporting Link with Latham and law school outreach programming, including pre-event logistics, communications, and post-event analysis.

This role will be located in either our New York, Orange County, San Diego, Washington, D.C., or Los Angeles office in Century City. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with target law schools, career services, student organizations, vendors, and recruitment professionals, while serving as the firm's liaison and represents the firm at recruiting and external functions
  • Ensuring compliance with federal and state legislation and best practices, while developing and monitoring budgets and expenses for outreach and recruiting efforts
  • Collaborating with team members and committees to identify and implement new marketing and promotional strategies, and providing administrative support to the Recruiting Committee by preparing recruitment statistics, reports, and presentations
  • Overseeing the work of coordinators, assistants, and interns, while providing informal feedback, and supporting the professional development of junior team members
  • Promoting effective work practices, working as a team member, and showing respect for co-workers
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Demonstrate well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively at all organizational levels and lead teams with a customer-service focus
  • Exhibit advanced organizational and analytical skills to manage time, prioritize tasks, handle multiple deadlines, and supervise others to ensure compliance and accuracy, while using independent judgment for decision-making
  • Display proficiency in MS Office, applicant tracking systems, interview platforms, and other necessary software, with the ability to undertake large projects, develop alternative methods, and implement solutions

And have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • A minimum of five (5) years of cumulative experience
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in legal recruitment or professional services
