IP Litigation Associate Attorney; Multi-Office

Overview

Sheppard Mullin, an Am Law 50 global law firm, is seeking IP Litigation Associates with 2–4 years of experience to join our nationally recognized Intellectual Property Practice Group in New York, Washington, D.C., or Silicon Valley.

Our IP Litigation Practice offers the opportunity to work alongside nationally acclaimed trial attorneys on groundbreaking matters involving Fortune 500 companies and leading-edge technology innovators. • Contribute to IP litigation matters before major U.S. patent venues, the ITC, and PTAB.
• Engage in discovery, motion practice, and other aspects of high-stakes matters.
• Collaborate with cross-office teams and senior attorneys on complex cases.
• Provide strong legal analysis, writing, and problem-solving in support of clients.

• 2–4 years of litigation experience in a law firm or through a judicial clerkship.
• Experience in commercial litigation or IP litigation strongly preferred, including meaningful involvement in motion practice, discovery, and high-stakes matters.
• Strong academic credentials and a technical background; engineering or computer science experience preferred.
• Team-oriented mindset with strong legal analysis, writing, and problem-solving skills.
• Admission to practice in the relevant jurisdiction required.

Compensation: $235,000–$310,000
