We are working with a prestigious global law firm that is seeking to add a mid-level associate to its construction litigation / disputes practice in New York. This is a rare chance to join a market-leading team that acts on some of the most complex and high-value matters worldwide, spanning infrastructure, energy, and large-scale development projects.

The successful candidate will step into a team with a strong international platform, advising blue-chip clients on disputes arising out of transport, energy transition, renewables, social infrastructure, real estate, and mega-projects. The practice advises developers, contractors, investors, funds, lenders, and public entities across all stages of the construction lifecycle.

  • Compensation:
    The firm pays Cravath scale base salary and bonuses
  • Prestige:

  • Breadth of Work:
    Exposure to domestic litigation and international arbitration, involving delay and disruption claims, defects, change orders, professional negligence, and contract termination disputes

    Collaborate with colleagues across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas on multijurisdictional projects and disputes
  • Sector Diversity:
    Work spans renewables (wind, solar, nuclear), oil and gas, data centers, transport, utilities, airports, and PPPs

Ideal Background

  • Experience:

    4–7 years of construction litigation or arbitration experience at a leading law firm
  • Background:
    Strong foundation in complex disputes; familiarity with standard construction forms (EPC, FIDIC, NEC) is advantageous
  • Skills:

    Excellent drafting, case management, and client-handling skills; able to manage complex cross-border matters
  • Mindset:
    Commercially astute, detail-oriented, and ambitious to build a career at the very top of the market
